Hemp silk veil

This rectangle shaped veil is based on illustrations i several medieval manuscripts, for example The Maciejowski Bible (France, circa 1244-1254) and The Taymouth Hours (England, circa 1325–35). A similar veil can also be seen in a mural in Risinge Church, Sweden (circa 1400-1450).
 
 
Material: Hemp and silk. Semi-bleached.
Hand sewn with linen thread.
